Options Trading: Fourteen Strategies for Any Market

Acerca de este curso

Most people who start with options learn a single technique and stop there — and the moment the market stops cooperating, they have no idea what to do. This is the Academy's core course, and it fixes exactly that: it hands you the full repertoire, organized by what you expect the price to do.

It stands on its own. You do not need The Wheel or LEAPS first: the opening three modules rebuild the vocabulary from zero—what an option is, strike, premium, expiration, Delta, Theta, and Vega—along with the two option-selling building blocks that carry almost everything else.

You follow Marina, who starts again with $12,000 on NOVA, the Academy's stock, trading at $55. Every strategy is built step by step with exact figures: what you buy, what you sell, what comes in or goes out, where the break-even sits, and how much you can make or lose in the worst case.

Across 14 modules in five blocks, you will learn to:

  • Master the four basic positions and their real risk profiles.
  • Generate income with the Cash-Secured Put and the Covered Call — with numbers, not theory.
  • Trade bullish with Bull Call Spreads, Bull Put Spreads, and the Poor Man's Covered Call.
  • Trade bearish with Bear Call Spreads, Bear Put Spreads, and long Puts for protection or speculation.
  • Trade sideways markets with the Collar, Iron Condor, Iron Butterfly, and Calendar Spread.
  • Take a position on volatility itself with Straddles and Strangles, then finish with two hybrids: the Jade Lizard and the Broken Wing Butterfly.
  • Pick the right structure using a synthesis table you will keep using long after the course.

Every module closes with four worked exercises plus an exam on the campus. Intermediate level, explained from the ground up. Figures in US dollars. One-time payment, lifetime access.

Educational content: this is not financial advice. No strategy is sold as foolproof — you will also see exactly where each one hurts.

Stop trading with a single tool. Learn the whole repertoire.

Contenido del curso

Module 1 · Options Fundamentals
The language you need before your first spread: what an option is, what its premium is made of, and the four basic pieces

  • Options Fundamentals
    03:17
  • Exam · Module 1

Module 2 · Cash-Secured Put
Marina sells her first Put with the full cash set aside — she gets paid to wait, or buys NOVA at the price she picked

Module 3 · Covered Call
Marina sells a Call against the 100 NOVA shares she already owns: premium up front, a ceiling on the upside

Module 4 · Bull Call Spread and Bull Put Spread
The first time Marina combines two options into one position: two ways to bet on NOVA moving higher

Module 5 · The Poor Man’s Covered Call
Marina rebuilds the payoff of her Covered Call by swapping 100 shares of NOVA for a single long Call

Module 6 · Bear Call Spread and Bear Put Spread
The same pair of vertical spreads from Module 4, with the direction flipped: getting paid when NOVA doesn't rise

Module 7 · Long Puts: Protection and Speculation
Marina uses one contract two opposite ways — as insurance on shares she owns, and as a straight bet on a fall

Module 8 · The Collar
Marina puts a floor and a ceiling around her 100 NOVA shares — and the Call premium pays for the insurance

Module 9 · The Iron Condor
The first four-leg structure of the course: two credit spreads that get paid for NOVA staying still

Module 10 · Iron Butterfly
The Iron Condor's neutral spirit, with the central range narrowed to a single point: more credit, less room

Module 11 · Calendar Spread
The first structure built not on different strikes, but on two expirations at the same strike

Module 12 · Straddles and Strangles
Marina's first two structures that don't bet on direction, only on NOVA moving — whichever way it goes

Module 13 · Jade Lizard
The hybrid structure that pairs a short Put with a Bear Call Spread so the upside carries no risk at all

Module 14 · Broken Wing Butterfly and Course Wrap-Up
The last strategy breaks the symmetry of the wings on purpose — and closes the full map of the course
